Wound in BP

My biggest hermit Rocky had his tunnel collapse just after a molt, so I moved him to an iso container so he could recover and eat his exo. Yesterday I saw him kind of resting up on the container but I didn’t think much of it. Today I just noticed that his big pincher is kind of dented. Will he be ok? Can I do anything for him?

He is still hardening up from his molt, he's still really pale and should darken considerably in the next couple of weeks. Normally he would still be buried at this point. He may be moving but please wait a while with him in ISO before moving him back.

As for the dent, that is what happens when they are still wet and soft from molting. The collapse must have happened in that small window where it could do damage. He should be fine. It's always hard to say how much stress and damage was caused, but generally they will molt out normal the next time they are due for one. If the dent is severe and prevents normal shedding he may end up losing part or all of the claw, in which case it will regrow.

It is super important his next molt is undisturbed though! Two bad molts in a row is often impossible for them to recover from.

Check for more problems when he's out and moving more. With luck it will just be that dent, if not adjust his care as needed so he can eat and fatten up for his next molt.
