1. What kind of substrate is used in your tank and how deep is it?
sand cocofiber 5:1
2. Do you have gauges in the tank to measure temperature and humidity? If so, where are they located and what temperature and humidity do they usually read?
yes, 30 celsius 90% Humidity
3. Is a heat source used in the tank? If so, what?
nope. tropical country
4. What types of water are available (fresh or salt) and how is the water treated (what brands of dechlorinator or salt mix and what ratio is used to mix it)?
fresh and salt. using salt mix
5. What kinds of food do you feed and how often is it replaced?
alot of food mix but it has all their needs like proteins and calcium etc
6. How long have you had the crab and what species is it, if known?
a year, Rugosus
7. Has your crab molted, and how long ago did it happen?
idk they molt alot i dont keep up
8. What type of housing are the crabs kept in, what size is it and what kind of lid is on the housing?
Aquarium, 40 gal, corroplast
9. How many crabs are in the tank and about how large are they?
4? pretty small
10. How many extra shells are usually kept in the tank, if any?
maybe 50 or more. theres alot
11. Have there been any fumes or chemicals near the crabitat recently?
nope
12. How often do you clean the tank and how?
i dont really clean it. just change the water
13. Are sponges used in the water dish? If so, how are they cleaned?
no
14. Has anything new been added to your crabitat recently?
yes, the thing im worried about
15. Is there any other information you would like to share that might be helpful (anything that is regularly part of your crab care, playtime, bathing, etc.)?

16. Please describe the emergency situation in detail.
I made a diy Shelves thingy for my crabs and its starting to rust ALOT! I know metally stuff is not recommended for crabitat due to them being prone to rusting but the guy i bought the wore from said its special wire that wont rust. but i guess they were lying. I currently have crabs down and i dont know how to get the shelves out safely. any advice?

I assume the shelves go into the tanks substrate and the little one is buried? Rust in itself isn't really harmful, so I wouldn't worry too much about it and wait for the little one to come up. Otherwise, if it is a concern, is the shelf a simple shelf where the legs just go straight down or do they flair out at the base? If they just go straight down, and you're really concerned, gently pull it out. But honestly, I'd just leave.
