Power went out

Last night the power went out I thought the tank was going to be fine but the temperature is now down to about 58 degrees where it was previously in the 70s and still slowly dropping. The humidity is still fine. We can either move them into a different room next to the fireplace or wait 9 hours for the power to come back on. However one of them is molting and I didn't want to disturb him the other is buried in the sand somewhere. Are they going to get sick being cold for so long?

We may be able to get a generator however that could still take awhile (depends on when a neighbor wakes up)

Do you have access to hot water? If so, you can fill up some containers with lids or water bottles and put them in the tank. Or if you have access to those hand warmers that you shake to activate, you can put those around the tank. And then if you can do one of those, cover the tank with a bunch of blankets to hold in the heat.
If it's easy to do, putting your crabs who are above ground in a container with some moss or some eco earth and bringing them into a warmer room is probably a good idea.
If you can't add some heat, then you need to decide whether it is best to dig him up. How long has he been under? If it has been a while, he's likely done molting. But if you do dig him up, be prepared to isolate him from the other crabs until he is moving around normally.

We managed to get a bit of power and it's sitting around 60, the power should come back on in two or three hours. We don't have access to hot water and the one hermit crab is dug under the sand but not molting the other is about 1.5 months into what is probably a 2 month molt.
