naked crab 2 weeks

My sons crab went naked after being under the sand for a couple of weeks. The other crab took his shell and now he won't stay in a shell more than a day. What do I do?

Buy it more shells.

what color is it? we need to know the species to help you further, different species like different shells.

Try the cup method. Place the naked crab after rinsing his abdomen of sand in a cup w/some shells that would fit him. If you can cover the cup w/a moist towel that may help keep the humidity up so he can breath. If you have an ISO tank, place the cup in there & cover the tank w/a towel to make it dark & peaceful for him. Good luck & I hope he reclothes soon. If he does, give him a bit of alone time to make sure he's going to stay in the shell.
