Hello!

Post by Kuda » Fri Feb 24, 2017 10:17 am

Hey, guys! I'm Kuda. I'm a dog groomer, and I have a border collie/heeler/pit bull? mix breed dog, and a corn snake. I used to be pretty active back around 2008 on Landhermitcrabs. I had an awesome 50g with about 25 PP's, 5 E's, and 3 strawberries. I had to rehome all my little guys after having to move around, there was a lot of back and forth between two houses and the climate was too cold to leave them at one or the other or to take them with me. However, I've finally settled down a bit and decided to get back into having hermit crabs. I don't currently have any kiddos, although I'm pretty excited to get some (my local petco has Ecuadorians! :D ) and I'll make sure to post lots of pictures when I get them. I'm planning on getting two or three, I'm thinking two E's and possibly a PP, although I'm much more of an E fan.

Out of curiosity, what happened to landhermitcrabs? Did you guys just combine these two sites?

Welcome back! Yes, LHC and HCA are combined now but I can't tell you when it happened. :)

Yaaaay!

You can't see my eyes lighting up, but they are - You must remember a lot of old threads and conversations - that will be awesome for people like me who have only been on for a few months. Whenever mods & more experienced crabbers point out an old discussion it's always super interesting. I love learning about the roots of the crabbing community.

I was so bummed when I tried to find land hermit crabs and the site was no longer there. Glad I found you guys though!

Lady, I think it will be interesting to see what has changed. I'm slowly remembering everything - although I had to check the abbreviations thread because I couldn't remember if we called them eccies or E's. Haha

I actually got two little E's last night. They're so friendly, I'll try to post some pictures sometime in the near future. Not sure if Petco didn't feed them or something, but they spent about three hours sitting in the food dish last night.

Big guy is named Frexspar, or Frex for short. Figured out he's a boy last night. Not sure of little one's gender, waiting to name him/her. :)
