New
Hi all, I'm new to the forum and fairly new to hermit crabs. My son was given some a while ago and really enjoyed them, but we lost them and after doing a lot more research I know that the setup wasn't right for them. So we're starting again and doing it right this time. I've ordered a newer larger tank and I'm shamelessly stealing decorating ideas from Pintrest and on here. I've ordered a bunch of new products which will arrive after Christmas and I'll spend some time setting up and letting the environment settle before sourcing some new crabs from a reputable supplier. I'm spending Christmas Eve making little pools based on the ideas that I've seen here. I've already been given some good advice on here which prevented me making a mistake, and I look forward to getting even more information so I can make a great setup for our new crabs.

Awesome! Welcome welcome!
Try checking out the adoptions section before you buy - there may be people looking to give up crabs in your area.

Welcome aboard! Since you have mentioned looking for a reputable supplier, I would encourage you to keep an eye out here, in the adoptions section, and to maybe put an ad up on Craigslist in order to see if there's someone out there who is looking to rehome the hermit crabs that they already have. While not everyone can do it, adoption rocks. Enjoy your decorating.
