First off, we adopted two new crabs today!!!!!! I met her about an hour away, and she had two purple pinchers

They are much smaller than my two, so I'm uber excited! We checked them over really well, no mites, so I added them to my 20 gal. I didn't add their stuff yet, I'm boiling things just to be safe. Here's a couple pictures of them, they're not great but I had to hurry. I didn't want to stress them out too much. They already had a 2 hour drive to get to home with us!

Now, onto shells -
She had a bunch of shells!!! Not only did she have plenty in their size, she had plenty in all sizes! She really did some research and spent some time searching for these. Only 3 painted ones, and those were the ones they came in. (Out of the 4, 2 passed

She also had plenty of cholla wood and a net to climb! So speaking of, how could I sanitize the net? It's pretty thick..

Her substrate was shallow and dry, but honestly she had a really great set up for these babies!!! I was amazed that she even wanted to get rid of them, but her kids weren't interested and the molting process worried her. (Me too, an empty tank everyday is very stressful!) She was super sweet and I can't wait to email her back and let her know how they're doing!
Here's a decoration she had that I was wondering if I could use? My boyfriend said he thinks it's real...

Okay, so now onto the other finds! We found a mom and pop shop in the town we met her at, and it was awesome!!!! My boyfriend was stuck in the aquarium rooms (yes, rooms. This guy has a LOT of fish!) And i was up front with the crabs. I found some Mopani wood and cuttlebone!

I also found this food and I'm hoping they like it. I haven't added any yet..

So, after checking them over a great bit, I added them into my tank. They're exploring and I covered it to let them be for a while. Every bit of me wants to just sit and watch them all day, but they're probably stressed so I'm trying to be an adult and leave them be.

Anyways, I boiled the shells. They're drying now. I boiled the cholla wood and it's in the tank with them. They've got a bunch of food, fresh water, and it's dark so I'm letting them adjust.
So, questions-
How to sanitize the net.
Can I use the star?
Anything else I should do that I missed?
Thanks for bearing with me yall! I am like a kid at Christmas right now!!!
