Sand?

Post by Nicole00 » Mon Oct 12, 2020 10:19 pm

I bought some play sand at Lowe’s and I was wondering how to prepare it or if I have to?

Play sand is good to go as is. It's already washed, screened, and dried. Many of us use the 5:1 ratio of play sand mixed with Eco Earth (EE). Your mix should be moistened with dechlor fresh or salt water to sand castle consistency (it should hold its shape, but not be dripping wet).

Thank you !! I read somewhere that your supposed to strain it then, use a magnet on it, and then bake it. Which I was fine with doing but it was just a lot to do for a 50 pound bag of sand and I’m currently in school.

Nope, you don't have to do all that with play sand, as it's already been done for you. Image
