New to HCA

I purchased two hermit crabs last September 2021 when on vacation in Panama City, FL so I’ve had them 8 months. I received some basic information but nothing in detail. I just found out about the HCA today while searching online for a larger tank. I have a lot to learn and have not been doing everything suggested here. I have only been using playsand rather than a substrate mix. I also have only two bowls: one for food and one for spring water. I didn’t know about needing one for saltwater. I purchased two extra shells when I bought them and one of them moved into a new shell two days ago. I also didn’t know about misting them and keeping the sand moist. I change the water every day and the food every two days. I have a lot to learn but I love my crabs (since I am allergic to pets with fur); they are perfect for me!
