Welcoming Mable to the Family!
Yesterday, I went to the pet store for a new tank and a new food bowl for my PPs. I came back with a new tank, substrate, a new fake plant, and unexpectedly, another hermit crab. I originally knew that hermit crabs preferred to live in groups of 3 or more. I only had two before I went yesterday, so I took the opportunity! Welcoming Mable the purple pincher hermit crab as the newest addition to the family!

Re: Welcoming Mable to the Family!
I just got tapatalk so that I could put pics on here, but I don’t know how... Mable also buried himself under the substrate recently, and I don’t want to dig him up right now, as the recent moves from the pet store to a tank with Coco, one of my other PPs, and then to my new 20 gallon tank probably majorly stressed him out. I will wait a few weeks to try to gets pictures of all of them for you guys! But how do I use tapatalk to post pictures? By the way, I do already follow the HCA on it.

Well, I couldn’t find 2/3 of the crabs in the tank today, so I’m guessing Eggo and Mable are probably molting. I will post pictures if I find them or if I see that they have resurfaced!

Update: now I’m pretty sure Coco is molting as well.

Re: Welcoming Mable to the Family!
Sorry I didn’t post sooner, but about a week ago I found that the crabs aren’t molting, they are hiding! I looked all over the tank the day I thought that they were molting, but then I think it was that night, or sometime soon after that that I found they are just VERY good at hiding! Sorry for that!
