I can't speak to the fish but I can say the I know crabby77 always gives good advice. My old tank sat at 77/80(norm 80) My new tank went up to 89 and I got worried, until I read others have a higher humidity and it's OK. My crabs seem to love it and the one that's more relaxed seems to be more energetic. I get so much light in my home I stopped using the light and only need the heater pad (ult. That's cheapest one that doesn't burn out in a month in my opinion) I also have the old lid covered in plastic wrap ontop my new lid. It doesn't fully cover it but it mostly does, and boy it helps. I got that tip on here under a deff topic and it's honestly made such a difference. We have dry air in the summer so I also have a humifier in my sons room.
