We found its way easier to mix a gallon, or several, at a time. We have 7 tanks so we use about a gallon each time we change out waters. With only one crabitat a gallon will probably last you close to a month depending on the size of your pool of course!

Thanks so much for helping me out with that Image

Wow that’s a lot of tanks! Great idea mixing it a gallon at a time. I’ll be honest, I had to Google what a gallon was in litres - that’s a lot! My pool is pretty small, probably not even half a quarter of a gallon haha!

No problem! I'm sure mixing a liter at a time would be plenty for you! It's a real pain when you are in a rush then need to mix another batch. I always add the salt first. Then use some warm water and shake to help dissolve the salt. After that I add cool water to get it closer to tank temperature. After all that I add the dechlorinator then give it a final shake! Mixing waters like you generally need to let the water sit to room temperature.

I'm not the greatest with the conversions from metric to imperial either. Being a mechanic we have to have both wrench and socket types. We use either/or depending on what we are working on. Sometimes we will need both on the same thing.

I’ve actually taken a screenshot of that just because it sounds like you’ve got the process down and I think I’m just going to copy that!

Yes I wish Australia and America could have the same measurement system, it’s always so confusing! But I’d be biased and say the metric system is better and I’m sure many would disagree!

When my new tanks comes and is all set up I’ll post a picture, will be keen for feedback Image
