Had them about a year now

So we go to a fair every year in Florida called the Strawberry Festival. Last year they had a game where they were actually giving away hermit crabs. It was really horrible if you ask me because the conditions they were kept in was not ideal. So we won a few and that is where it started. My wife had no idea how much it took to take care of them. She thought we could ust throw them in a container with some sand and be done. Well,first I started reading about them everyday. I work in IT so I am used to research and learning. I also am very skilled with my hands so love to build things. So I found a person getting rid of a very nice Exo-Terra tank on Craigslist. I had my buddy who does glass for a living drill 3 holes in the back. I then built a custom wood shelf in the bottom of the stand I purchased. I also bought a misting system from mistking which has been an awesome system I must say. For my first crabitat I don't think I did that bad. My wife says it is a hermie penthouse!
