Little one made it!
Several weeks ago I purchased a little tiny hermit crab, about the size of the last joint of my thumb, who was sad and sick and mostly limbless (great job, petsmart). His "home" at the store was lightly dusted with coco fiber, and the tank (probably 5 gallon) had 15 or so crabs in it, as well as 2 bowls of mold. I didnt name him because I was fairly sure he would not make it.
Once i got him home, I fed him and let him drink to his little hearts content. Then I put him in his new home and tucked him in for the night in a nice new coconut hut.
He stayed there a few nights, watching the other children play. I would help him eat and drink. Then on the 4th night he burrowed under ground. I worried about him, but kept my vigil.
Today I was overjoyed to see him up and climbing a stick, all leggies renewed his tank mates musta been glad to see him too.
Now he needs a name!
Suggestions?

Well, a name could be "Lucky", but I feel like that would be a bit generic. Maybe something interesting, like possibly "Survivalist" or even something not related to situation at all. Maybe, "Penny" or

That's wonderful news! These little critters are amazingly resilient and, with the right housing, food, water, often bounce back against seemingly overwhelming odds. Maybe a good name for him/her is "Miracle"!
