I'd say if it's something you do on the regular, it could be an issue. I'm very OCD though, so I don't spray anything in my pet room. If it's just a once in a while thing it prolly wouldn't hurt. Maybe another person will jump in on this one.

No, not at all. I only spray it like once a month.

Here is the safe food list. Lots of goodies on there! My guys are partial to egg yolks lol.

What does the star/diamond next to the food item on the list mean?

That should be fine with the spray.
I think the diamond means it's something that's been recently added to the safe food list.

Hey! I just moistened my sub, I'm worried it's not moist enough. I've got a lot of sand in there but i had to add in like 3 bottles of RO water.

Hey! Make sure you mix it really well with your hands to coat all the sand. Then pick some up and squeeze it. Is it holding it's shape but not dripping wet? If so that's the perfect consistency.

It's holding its shape, just a little crumbly but when I dig a whole with my finger it stays up.

That sounds like it's good to me. When you poke the hole in the sand, no water pools in there either right?

I think I was just worried about the crumbling, but that's kinda how sand works lol. If I push on it, it's not slime it's sand it's gonna crumble a little, but it's not falling apart or anything. Definitely sand castle material.

Yep, that should def work. Now the crabbies will be able to tunnel without anything collapsing.

I also got a heating pad, it's only a 2 WATT so it should be pretty good.

That looks good! As long as the height of the sub is the 3x the height of your largest crab. It's always hard for me to tell the height from pics.
Make sure you place the uth on the back or sides of the tank above the substrate line. The goal is to heat the air.
