Looks good! I see you upgraded from the 10g. Couple of suggestions tho:

-Where you get the bark hut? That could be pine and the sap in pine is harmful to them. If it's oak, you're good!

-the bee hive, it looks painted... It may be safe for now but being that it's painted, I personally wouldn't use it. Paint is also harmful to them. I'll let another crabber chime in here.

* You can get a medium bonsai tree/cave (reptile section) for 20 at petsmart.

-cholla... It's been dyed/painted as well. Hobby lobby has some natural cholla in craft/shell section for around 3 bucks. Just bake at 300 for 45 mins or so. You can also ziptie them together for added height.

-shells... Get a corner caddy from Wal-Mart's bath section. Use cholla or fish net for access. It keeps shells cleaner and keeps crabs from burying them. And it adds floor space :)

-I addressed the water dishes in PM.

- I would also check into digital gauges. (wal-mart 10 bucks). They're more accurate than analog.

* not trying to overwhelm you, just trying to help ;)

Just noticed the plyboard lol. Reminded me of my son's guppy tank.

The bark hut came from PetSmart and it was in the hermit crab section, of course we all know that doesn't REALLY mean anything considering they sell the sand there too. Lol I don't THINK its pine, but how do you tell? [FLUSHED FACE]

Yes, I agree that the beehive does look painted. Its pretty much already too small because it sinks in the sand and the entrance gets wee little. Lol

I THINK the cholla is actually hard plastic... Lol its REALLY hard!

I did get a shower caddy, but it was a weird one, so I have to take it back and get a bigger corner one instead. I did get a "soap" one and its at the top of the vine with live moss in it.

I do have a digital one, I just havent put it in there yet. Those analog ones came with the tank. Lol

We actually built her an entire loft bed and the plywood underneath the tank is part of her desk. :D

More than likely it's pine. I've never seen oak logs at petsmart. Bark on an oak is very different from pine bark. Can't really describe it... Your cholla may be thick plastic but I swear it's dyed/painted.

Pine... Look in reptile section of pet store. They have caves and trees with built-in caves. I prefer these over the logs

It's definitely Pine. Daws, that red cholla is plastic. I've seen plastic cholla in several different colors. It's silly really. Costs about the same as real cholla. Did you determine if you have an E or not?

Petsmart, Petco and Petsmart carry it. It's made by Zoo Med. A couple of hermits I adopted came with a red one.

How I figured out my cholla was painted was when I went to boil it it flaked BAD. I'd imagine if it does actually turn out to be plastic you might not want to do that.
