You could also ask your students to help forage for their food. I don't know how it would work with your curriculum but you could possibly recruit the science teachers to assist with a mini- lesson on identifying a few edible plants in your area, so long as they gather from areas that don't use pesticides/herbicides.

Seems like everything has been covered thus far so all I can say is, great crabitat! I’m jealous too! Lol! Very good use of all space! Good luck to you and the new crabbies!
