Hi everyone,
I'm a new forum member that joined up because I'm seriously considering adding a few hermit crabs to the family. I'm one of those people that research, mull it over, research more, watch videos, ask questions, etc before getting a new pet that I have not already owned. This will be my first non-mammal, non-fish venture and I have an online friend to thank for getting me interested in hermit crabs.
I myself am a huge bookworm, writer, and artist. I live with my fiance, our dog, and two cats. Just wanted to say hi

Re: Potential Future Owner
These things are addictive and awesome. But..you need patience or be able to just enjoy the look of a tank, because since they are nocturnal especially at first, you may not see them as often as you would like. Then they go to molt and it is excruciating waiting for them to come back up. Really cool when they do, though, and you get very weirdly attached to them!
Re: Potential Future Owner
Glad to see you're approaching ownership the right way: research, research, research! Your future crabs will thank you for your diligence. Oh, and welcome aboard .

Re: Potential Future Owner
Thank you everyone!
I work third shift, so the nocturnal part wouldn't bother me at all Rats are nocturnal and pretty shy at first also, so been there done than.
My fiance is getting the brunt of me regurgitating every bit of info I'm learning, which he should be paying attention to just in case >:-D
