Hello from First time Mama of 3 PP's :)

Hello all! I am so happy to have found this forum. I am brand new to Hermit Crabs - my daughter was given one as a "pet" for her birthday and I quickly realised that this was not a good choice for her. Since taking over crab care, I also took in two from one of her classmates as his parents also realised that crabs are not meant for 9 year olds! So, I have three medium size PP's that I've been caring for for almost six months now and I have fallen in love with them!! I want to give them the best possible life so I'm here learning as much as I can and hope to meet others who share this joy!

A big part of HCA is to share pics - which are joyful - plus many here (myself included) love pictures of happy lil crabs minding their own business!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I hope to get some pics of my lil ones this weekend! Right now I'm off to PetCo for a bigger tank - it's $1 per gallon time

Hi Eisel, welcome. Congratulations. You came to hermit crabbin the same way I did, through my kid. She was the winner of the class pets to take home for the summer. Of course if we want to keep them we could. Well, you know the rest
