Hi everyone its been ages!!!
i havent had hermit crabs since i started college so im a bit rusty. I impulse bought 5 PPs i know i know bad.... anyway i got a 20 gal temp tank w bottom heater all that with them and some cc fiber and sand and all that with salt and freshwater pools (see i do remember some things ) and a UVB light (i know its not necessary and doesn't help much but there's not much natural light where they are). One went down to molt straight away the others have changed shells (good thing ive kept my old shells all this time) i also have some more from naples coming in soon for this large crab, he??? hast to be at least over 1inch opening already and i couldn't just leave him.... i mean who would take care of him correctly??? so i got him and one other baby i needed to rescue. im getting a 55 gal today ima move everyone once i move in December but for now i think this set up shall work i have a 7inch deep mound so i think they should all be fine for molts . i have a constant 80 temp and inconsistent 65-80 humidity which i honestly have no idea what to do about but i figure with PPs they can handle it for now and it could be worse. I also dont remember what to feed on a semi regular basis. So far ive been feeding a mix of veggies fruits and some dried baby shrimp (stuff you would feed to fish) every 2-3 days suggestions on the food stuffs please. Thank you all for your wisdom this forum is honestly the best and i have missed it.

:hlol: Funny @DaJimmer!!

Welcome to the HCA! :) Yes, please do read the care sheets. They are very helpful!

Humidity needs to be a minimum of 80 at all times if possible. Hermit crabs have modified gills and need the humidity to breathe. :)

Hello! Don't know if you have moss in the tank, but when I added it to mine it helped the humidity a lot.

If you go back through recent Food/Water threads where people ask about what to feed, you'll find ENDLESS suggestions.

There was a protein thread or two with massive input. :D
