Incense and gills?

Post by Hermitcrabber369 » Sat Jun 05, 2021 9:43 pm

Hello everyone, while I'm not new to hermit crabs this is my first post in forever lol. As the title says I was wondering about hermit crabs and incense. I burn incense for religious reasons, sometimes 2-3 times a day sometimes once a day or even a couple days in between. I usually burn stick incense but sometimes resin when it comes to special days. (The scents I burn are frankincense and myrrh with the occasional rose and pine.) I don't have any other place to practice my faith except outside on rare occasions besides my room. I always have my door open and multiple fans blowing so the incense disperses rather quickly. And while I haven't got any hermies yet I was wondering would it be ok to burn the incense mentioned above with hem in the same room? I can keep their cage partially covered with a towel as well and position the fan so it blows the smoke away from their tank if that helps. :o

Incense and gills?

We don’t really know how irritating incense can be for them so you’re right to be cautious, but I think you can get away with it with sufficient air flow.
