I made a snap identification and figured Eugene is a PP. it is statically most likely, just making sure.

It's hard to make out details but he matches up with a PP

Thanks, will see if I have a better pic, I was mainly going by the fact that he does have a single large pincher

All species land crabs have one big pincher, used to block off the opening of their shell for protection. Judging by the colors and the overall shape of the big claw, along with you being in the US, he's like 99.9% a PP.

Ok.

I’ve seen pics of crabs all snuggled into their shell, but Eugene won’t stay in a big enough shell to do that. He’s changed several times because I have plenty of turbos for him, but he always goes back to his original.
