New crab owner

Post by Hermienewbie2 » Thu Dec 14, 2023 1:32 am

Hi,
I got 3 hermit crabs through EBay, since no one replied to my request to adopt any hermit crabs through any avenues I tried (LHCOS & here). I have them now for 10 weeks & they seem to be doing ok, but I have not really seen them eat or go into the water pools (I guess they could be doing that when all my lights are off & it is quiet in my living room

If they don't seem active at all during the day I would just make sure the humidity and temperature are where they should be (temperature around 75-80°F and humidity around 75-85%). But I'm sure their doing fine sometimes mine are less active at times. Good luck!

Crabs eat very little when they are small, so you may not even notice any food gone.
Also PPs tend to dip their toes in, so you may not see them ever fully in the pools.
