HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Hi,

I have just gotten Hermit Crabs about four days ago and they are really small, but two days after i got my Hermit Crabs one started digging and is now under the substrate, my other Hermit crab is also digging but now fully under the substrate. Should i be worried, or is this a normal crab act.

Crabs dig for many reasons including to molt, for fun, or just to de-stress. So it's totally normal. Check out the basic care sheet if you haven't already. Welcome to crabbing!
