New Owner - Tank Help
So I'm hopefully going to be getting 2-3 crabs on the 4th. However, I only have a tank with the wire top. Is that okay, if they have a heat lamp? I know they need humidity. Any help for a new owner would be appreciated!

You should get rid of the heat lamp. It will zap humidity and cook crabs. You should get a heat mat from bean farm (ultratherm). You can wrap the lid with plastic wrap for now to keep in heat and humidity. Make sure you have all the right conditions to keep them thriving. You can look at the basic care sheet and watch Crab Central Station on YouTube. You should also adopt your hermits instead of buying them, because the pet trade is awful and they do terrible things to the crabs.( forcing them out of their natural shells and putting them into painted shells) We do not want to support that. Happy crabbing!

People do use heat lamps with success, depending on where they live. Yes, heat lamps will decrease your humidity, but in some tropical climates not enough to be a problem. You will want to get a hygrometer / thermometer combo in your tank asap. That will tell you whether you need to conserve humidity or not.
I agree with checking out our 'basics' care sheet, but can't stand CSS so won't recommend her videos at all.
