funny shell swap

I had to share this, because it made me laugh!

Smeagol in her green shell, the trendsetter

I have three PPs (Smeagol, Bilbo, and Smaug) and after putting in some new shells, Smeagol picked a lovely green turbo and went down for a molt. Over the next month, Bilbo and Smaug came up from their molts and had BOTH picked out green turbos as well!

Well, Smeagol finished her molt and I was delighted to see her back and join the new green turbo gang. So I checked on them this evening to see how everyone was doing and Smeagol is in a totally new shell! Haha, I guess she didn't appreciate her copycats (copycrabs?) trying to steal her look! :) Crabs are so goofy.

Three of my four guys will wear only green turbos (my large guy refuses to wear a green turbo) -- fortunately, the crabs themselves are distinctly colored so I can tell who's who :lol: .
PPs are Big Enzo, Charles Paris and Mr Pinch
On the Big Beach in the Sky: Murray, Gino, Oscar, Gordon, Ignatz, Harry and King Felix the Pale
Also Mom to Imogene the Syrian Hamster

Cute! I think I have two guys in green turbos. They are small crabs though. Can't go wrong with a good ol' green turbo! :wink:

Lovely pics!!! Yes, almost all my crabs are in brown turbos. I do think they "copy" each other, may be so they blend in together better? I don't know, but I think you are onto something there.
6 PPs, 4 Straws, 3 Es * 1 Teeny, 6 Smalls, 4 Mediums, 1 large and 1 Jumbo in a 70 gallon
