Crab meditating

Crab meditating

Earlier today one of our hermies who we have nicknames "Diva Mike" because he seems to be sporting a new shell multiple times a night, was sitting on a vine in the tank totally immobile. Feelers were still and he didn't move for a long while. What are they doing when they do that but are not hiding in their shells? Just resting? We thought maybe hew as meditating about his next shell :D

Probably sleeping, as they're nocturnal. They don't "sleep" like we would think of sleeping, but yes, he was resting.
