Looks like I have an 'E'

Post by cap7 » Fri Jul 22, 2016 8:27 am

I originally had 2 PP's, and last month adopted two other crabs from someone who had an impulse purchase and did not want to keep them. Thanks to info provided by HCA, all are doing well in a 29g, 10 in of sub, all conditions met.
Variety of food and protein available.
The two new crabs are now getting very active, and I'm pretty certain one is an 'E'.
I do not want to buy another E, I would rather adopt, but how long can I wait to get another of his species? He did display some aggression but I did not intervene because the PP attacked handled it well.
I hope to get a picture tonight to get confirmation.
Thanks!

They probably just trying to work out who is boss, as long as its not constant aggression it should be fine. I would try to get a species buddy as soon as possible, but honestly, i don't think there's a time frame on things. But pics would be great!

I'm getting those E vibes... :) SO we're probably correct, but more opinions may be necessary. :)

Thanks, sorry but pictures are awful. I'll keep trying. Especially try to get pictures of BP and clearer pics.

The eyes definitely look like an E. Congrats! I can't get them here in VA. I only have one but he's been happy for 4 yrs now and I just adore him!

Make sure you feed plenty of protein and calcium sources and that he has plenty of room to dig and a lot of shells.
