So my biggest crab has been "hugging" this one all day... I've separated them a few times but end up finding them like this again. Should I be worried?

When was the last time the smaller one molted? If he just molted he might have that "vunerable" smell.
I wouldn't worry too much unless they start trying to tear each other up.
Crabbing since July 2013!

They all started coming up about 2 months ago... the most recent about 2 weeks ago but this isn't that one... the shell would be too small for Big Boy so I don't get it. I will keep an eye on them. Thanks!

I haven't seen any rocking. Just always behind like this. Sometimes grabbing on to the edge of the other one's shell.

Probably 2 dozen or so.... I just replaced some they never liked (gold inside?)... Big Boy switched into a white shell right after his molt but then switched back after a few days... I think it was a tad big for him... I ordered the same lot as the one he is currently in to give him more choice but feel like they weren't as big... do you think I need more shells?

I don't know the sex of any of them... the thought crossed my mind though.

I pulled them apart when I left for work yesterday and they were back together when I got home. There's no aggression that I can tell but I have no idea what to do.

Just thought I would give an update. Big Boy has been leaving Bolt alone for the most part now. I'm really relieved that it ended peacefully!

I'm being serious when I say check for eggs if you can. You have to get her to hang out of the shell as far as possible and they'll be stuffed down near the end of her tail on her left hand side (your right when facing her). When they're fresh they are bright orange and easier to spot, they fade to grey as they mature. It could have been a tiff or shell issue, but man if it didn't look and sound like something more!
