Mass Surfacing During Thunderstorm?

Has anyone else noticed a mass surfacing during a thunderstorm? There's a pretty hefty storm moving through here, and while I did only have one above ground before it, now most of them are above ground

Mine all climb as high as they can when a big storm is on the way. My PP's rarely leave the ground, so if they're hanging out in the vines (or anywhere besides the sand) I know something is coming. My E's love to climb all over the place, but if there's rain on the way, they'll all be hanging upside down from the screen lid like chandeliers.

I haven't actually heard of this before, but don't really know if mine do it!
There's storms, but not terrible.
