My newbie Malibu decided to dig a small cave by the front of the tank. She comes out to drink and eat and returns to her little hole lol. I wish she'd just bury and molt already!

So a short while ago i took home two male crabs. One just smaller than my two females and one tiny, smaller than my smallest female. [Total of 5 in a 40gl long now. In size order Hermionie/f, RoxSand /f, Eugene/m, Tina/f and Herman/m]

Second day everyone went under. .... crabs. :? ...lol :hlol:
Finally i have three up. Herman first to come up and changing shells all the time. Like small shells are scattered everywhere. boy is a mess. Already looks bigger too and has gone from brown to a happy red and maroon. So Ican't pretend to be mad.

The other two are larger crabs.... couldn't see the second at all so I'm just guessing on the third crab. But that crab is in a HUGE shell. I've been measuring all my shells looking for Hermionie and RoxSands next sizes up; so I know it's an inch and something which should be in a next molt up for at least my big girls very soon maybe even Eugene if he really needed one. The thing still looks huge. It's a Mexican turbo that everyone looks at and tries on. [Like this shell must have money in it even little Herman went in it, in his shell]. Sitting on my hand is the size of my palm. I've seen this shell and crab up for three days. So last night i swapped food and wanted a better look. I put my hand in, hermit doesn't react at all [meaning is probably Hermionie or Eugene, my brave crabs], I pick it up it tucks in. ... and i can barely see the crab. It's using its big claw and a bit of its legs as a door. but the crab can move it! And without problem that I've seen. I've seen it climbing and turning the chola wood to eat the millet and fish stuck in. Drinking and eating on all tank sides. Wonder if it's ok. Probably just crabs being crazy.

I have a video but can't post or idk how. Lol.

Indigo has made an epic, upsidedown appearance in a beautiful Naples shell! Haven't seen her in quite some time, but she's looking gorgeous as ever! Tried to get a good body pic, she's so blue inside of that shell! ImageImage

So I knew Jack had gone down as he was under for about 4 weeks. But I found him up last night looking fresh!!! I wonder if the eclipse had anything to do with it...? Wish I'd had a video camera on the tank during it lol

Still no signs of Peanut!!

Haha that is the worst! One of my females is always like that! So frustrating when the other two have always been pretty regular and as they got bigger just a bit longer. RoxSand does what she wants on her own time. Wonder how my two new boys will be...

Turns out two of my straws really like organic peanut butter. They're practically taking turns lording over the dish enjoying it

Haha so I dreamed last night that I went digging for Peanut & found him huge & molted. But the I had to pull him out of the tank as hundreds of tiny ants had made a nest inside!!! Freaky dream!!!
