Hermine is finally molting for the first time. I had to add water to the subtrate a few days ago bc it was getting dry and when I came across Hermine I put her back on the top so i wouldn't bury her. Instead of her going back down she decided to shed her Exo on the surface. I put her in iso with her exo and food and water. Is there anything else she needs?

Re: Molting crab
She only needs her exo to eat. No food or water is needed until that is gone. Do not handle her, and keep her cage covered so that she is in the dark. Keep cage warm and humid. (At the recommended heat and humidity. I recommend 80/80). Good luck!
Truly blessed to have incredible creatures, wonderful friends and my amazing family in my life!! I'm very thankful & grateful for all of them! www.thehealthyhermit.com

Hello I would also recommend you give your crabs more to do, add some plants and wood!

Re: Molting crab
In the future when you have a crab down and need to add moisture, just put a little at a time along the sides. Do not mix up the sub or do anything that could risk digging up a molting crab.
PS - Stella, I think that first photo is just the iso, not the main tank, that's why there's almost nothing in it.

Re: Molting crab
I just got home for the first time since making this post and noticed she hasn't moved at all not even towards her exo. My humidity is a low of 77° and high of 81° and my temp is always at 73° i know it's low. I haven't been able to buy anything to keep it warmer than that. I put a shirt over the iso tank to keep it dark.
