Climbing but reaching out - Is he trying to escape?

Post by hlabone72 » Fri Sep 20, 2024 2:20 pm

My one keeps climbing and like reaching out for things that aren't there, does he hate his home and he's trying to escape?
Or do I just need more places to climb. His behavior seems almost panicked lol He's like legit reaching out?
Or is mom just stressing?

Crabs love to climb. I find many of my crabs spent their time up high rather than on the ground. Add as much climbing stuff as you can, and I'm sure they'll thank you for it.

Well I did and found the green shell one on the dining room floor yesterday! LOL - Now I can't find the one in the white and brown shell, and I am terrified he's lost in the house and will die. Ugh!
Tank is completely secured now - I thought I had it good enough.

Oh no! Do you have a lid on the tank? I use glass lids, and weigh them down with jars and rocks just in case.

I have since found all three.

I don't have glass on this new one yet, just plexiglass now secured. The brown and white shell emurged and has since changed shells and now I have two in green shells, so I don't know who is who lol

Glad everyone is safe and sound. Hopefully that will be the last of their escape attempts lol.
