He's definitely settled in & enjoying the new place. I haven't caught him on the flower & leaf bowls yet, but they've both been disturbed at least once, so I know he's getting up there too. I've been really lucky that he's been doing things during the middle of the day, even, so I've been able to get pictures!Perched on the freshwater pool:
I've caught him there twice - the first time (in the picture) he more or less gracefully climbed down using the nearby plant:
The second time, I startled him when I opened the lid without knowing he was there & he fled into the far corner of the pool, underwater. :roll: Luckily he didn't bother to stay there long & made his escape to the cork log as soon as I stepped away to fix their dry food bowl.
He's also been in the moss pit:

He's still in there now, shoving shells around. I think most of the ones in there are more for the little guys...I'd spread his out around on the sub, so I suppose I'll have to move them back up tonight.
The night before last, I went to take the dry food bowl out & discovered Merry had burrowed underneath it. Not a good choice, bud.
But I was happy to finally find out what kind of shell he chose - an unpolished green turbo!
And I don't know what it is with these two, but Merry chose a giant one too - he can also disappear into it. :roll:
