Finally!

After crabbing for seven years, I finally have one that I think will eventually take food from my hand. "Green" is a jumbo and may be one of the originals. I was able to place a shrimp tail in front of him and leave my hand there while he started to eat. This morning he stayed still while I place a bit of prune next to him. He also turned toward my hand after I set mashed potato next to him. Woohoo!

Woohoo, indeed! Most of us are thrilled when a crab doesn't backpedal like mad as soon as we come near the tank .

Yay it's always fun to hand feed! My jumbo kraken and my large victor will both take from me if I offer them something yummy! It takes a little patiences, but if you get yummy treats they tend to be more open to taking them.

He took a chicken bone from me last night. He actually started to eat while I was holding it. He was on the upper level, and he dropped it once and stayed still until I picked it up and gave it back to him.
