Sigh.... 'Jeets, one of the new guys, and the palest of the lot, seems to be down for the count. Judging by his colour and voraciousnes, he was probs due for a moult - but I miss the little boog. Haven't seen him in over two weeks.

Everyone else is slowing down. My tote is pretty dull most evenings. And Aster, the adorable tiny, spends most of her time hidden away, so I only see the two originals and the newer Bede. :?

Quince the fat tailed gecko; Amazonian minnows; and now Harry & Luis, Bede & Aster, Chandra & Jace, Pax, & Piccolo, my adopted PPs.
RIP Vegita :(

Ok, so I think this is the right place to post this - if not, I'm sorry, not trying to interrupt.

I finally saw one of my crabs change shells!!! It was super cool!!! I have 3 PPs, and Helena, who's shell has a 7/8" opening, is a big shell changer. She changes shells every few days, especially when I change out the shell collection. I finally saw her do it! What a large, white, wet-looking abdomen she had! With lots of ridges going across it. And her white bit was wider than the carapice part of her that usually sticks out of the shell. Super weird! It didn't look like she rolled it up, more like folded it, but it was hard to tell, and I didn't dare move for fear she'd notice me. The only pics I remember seeing of unshelled crabs are of Strawberries, I think, and their abdomens are red, right? Anyway, I was just super excited about it.
4PPs and tons of FUN in a 29 gallon!
Hermia(F), Helena(F), Branch(M), and Tiger (M)
RIP Athena

That's what I'm wondering....but then again he's only been up a couple months from a 4 month long molt lol he was still fairly hairy & pointy legged.
