It's recommended that you cover up with tape or cardboard (:

Oh, it's not on the side or anything. It's on the very bottom of the tank. No light reaches it (besides a flash light)

But next time I see someone molting on the side of the tank, I will cover it up. Thanks for that info!

I cover all spots like that with cardboard and tape. To each's own though

My smallest/newest Squirt was the first to use the cocohut/moss pit combo and became his favorite spot. Now my second smallest Tux can't get enough of it. I just like to think Squirt was like hey buddy over here and now Tux is part of the cool kids club lol
My crab Dwebble also has decided not to eat day old food. I left the food in for two days and as soon as I changed it out today he immediately started racing to the food bowl to eat lol. Cute crabbos

My newest little E! He was a rescue and didn't have any other Es to be with and I couldn't find him a home with other Es. So since I had room in my E tank, in he went! I haven't seen him in a couple weeks so I think he went down to molt. He's a cute little bugger! (Might be a she...haven't been able to sex yet, lol!)

Then of course there's Neptune, the reigning king who is likely verging on jumbo now ;) I got him out to say hello as I was cleaning up a bit in the tank. He's such a love bug!

Amazing coloration! Did you get your newest little friend at Petco, because my PP that I got at Petco has the exact same painted shell as yours.

Last night, my mother and I saw our littlest crab, Moses, eating the half of an almond I set in the tank that morning. When we got a little to close to the tank he started to take off WITH the nut! After a bit, my mom thought that he abandoned his almond, but when she got up to heck, he was still dragging it! Eventually he he dragged it into the fake log!!! How crazy is that?!?!?! :hlol:

I looked into the tank this morning and I saw Dwebble just eating the substrate. He stared right at me as he did. He was right next to food too. It was like I was getting the message of "human slave better change this food today, because this dirt taste better"
