It's decided. I need more crabs! I only have 5 in the 58 gal, how many more would be appropriate?

Tweety is up right now playing in the little water dishes so I decided to sit at the table about 3ft away and just sit here. GET USED TO ME! He's so strange half on land a foot or two in the pool and waving an arm around in the air. Weirdo. I saw needle running around earlier. But no where to be seen now. And my mom terrified sokka earlier so the poor guy is hiding right back in his hole.

I have 5 in a 75. Personally i cant have more until i redesign (3 are Es). I need more levels, mosspits, and some other ideas.
2 of these Es, i'll call them TheTwins, wear the same shells, go up and down the same spots, come out together... I caught them shoving each other last night. I'm afraid of them getting more aggressive. So i need to make my tat like a maze before stacking crabs

Ahh. See I don't want to over crowd but I feel like I could support a few more. Not to mention only 2/5 are even up right now. Ps I just saw tweety and needle touching antennae in the corner. ️

I think as long as you add PPs you will be fine. I feel like i could hold 20 PPs in my tank. The Es are just wayyy too fast and crazy. Always tearing up my tank!

It might be a little dark to see buuuut tweety changed shells! He got out of that ugly painted shell and put on a pretty banded tapestry shell. It looks like it might be a little too big. I left his old one in there because I don't have a ton of options in there right now for them. New shells in the mail. I'll clean out the old one and put it back in case this new one is too big or heavy. Tweety was moving kinda slow lol. But my sister and I saw him change shells!

Needle was out and I actually saw him eating! And he knew I was there and didn't care!

Best of all was seeing Blue in his batman shell emerge from the floor of the castle! He is still very skittish but now I know for sure he's not molting. Just a very good hider during the day.
I am so happy to see so much action tonight!!!

Whats in the dish right in front of them? It looks like a big pile o sub!
Shell changes are great, esp if you get to watch it live! It says "i feel safe enough to show you my softer side"

Thanks! And that's a rock... I need to move it farther from the water because it always ends up in there.... Also I posted new pics of my tat. It's in a new thread. I'm excited to be adding so much more- and then I got to watch tweety change. It's a good day!

So this morning I could find not one crab. They are all hiding! I saw some action and now they all disappeared! Though after reading some stories from others I'm terrified they escaped!!!! I'm going to put out some honey when I get home and try to lure them all out hahaha!!

LOL i think its pretty normal. After all my crabs molted (for like 2 months) they all came up and i was SOOO HAPPY and they all disappeared 2 days later. All under or just being nocturnal so crabby!
