Are there any species of crabs that don't get along?

Where we discuss the behavior of our hermit crabs, as in fights, pecking orders, shell swaps, etc. Please post all naked-crab posts in the Emergency forum.

I currently have 2 E's and 9 PP's in a 30 gal. So far they E's and PP's get along. One of the E's is a bit of an aggressor, but haven't had anything bad happen, just a little bit of push fights that someone usually backs off from. I have a cork board round and have seen Donkey, my aggressor E, sleep in it during the day with my PP"s. so cute! :0 Shrek, my other E, is molting right now, but seems more laidback than Donkey :)

My multispecies single tank includes PP's, E's, Ruggies, Straws, Viol's, and Brevy's. I guess that's only 6 actually. There's plenty of deep substrate so I don't often get underground collisions.

Wow, have you had luck with your straws lasting a while? I want some desperately, but I'm worried about keeping them!

Also where did you get your cuttlebone? I got mine but its meant fo rbirds and has a metal piece across the middle so I dont put the whole thing in and instead break it off piece by piece.

Same. Its a cuttlebone for birds from walmart. Just take the metal off. Normally I only put a chuck in there anyway.

I've had PPs and Es together and other than right at first they did fine together. I haven't had any luck keeping Es alive, though.

I've been keeping PP's and E's together, so far so good. All but two (smalls) are around the same size (medium).
