I have one , male (upside down, I could see he didn't have gonopores. He can be grumpy! You have to watch him. He's the bigger, medium PP I have. But he's beautiful , such a bright lush color. He knows it too.
I have a female named Ralph(again, she was climbing upside down) . We got her because her shell was broken

. They had no natural shells and she absolutely refused to take off her broken shell among all of those painted ones! Got her home, she changed out of the broken shell and tried on several natural turbos! She settled on a green turbo after trying on shark eyes and other turbos. She was named by my stepson , who knows why he chose this but it's pretty cute. She's also friendly and not shy by any means! She's a medium sized gal.
I have another medium, unsure of sex. His/her name is courtesy of my tween daughter. It's Dwebble, after the Pokemon hermit crab. Yes, there's a Pokemon that's a hermit! He/she is in a white sharks eye. A little shy but if you're patient, he she will let you hold and observe. He she is molting right now and separated at this time.
My last medium is Faith. Named by my daughter and was always in a natural turbo. Not sure of sex quite yet, but he she is also molting. Sort of shy like Dwebble, but with patience you can handle him her. She is the one that has buried herself or himself the minute we put them into the tank. I'm keeping an eye on her.
My two small hermies are Spidey and Dora. They were the smallest and were in painted Spider-Man and Dora shells. Not sure of sex. Spidey is very shy and seems to only like little murex type shells. I've provided him with plenty of choices but he only wears those! Dora was my friendly baby. She was tiny but so friendly! She never changed her shell. I gave her time but she never changed. She began to be not very active. She started losing limbs so I decided to transfer her to her own tank. I set up food and water, substrate, etc. Friday, she was completely lethargic. I gave her more time. Tried to give water.
Dora passed away Friday night. I let her be to make sure this wasn't something else. I knew she was gone but man, I didn't want her to be! Saturday afternoon, I made her a coffin from her food dishes. We made her a grave under the Dogwood. I know some will think this is silly, but my pets are all equal to me. I love them all the same . When I picked her up to put her in her coffin shell, she started to fall from the shell so I scooped her. I am still grieving over little Dora. The conditions she and Spidey were in were not favorable for hermies! I thought I could spare her life.
Those are my hermies, will be glad to read about everyone else's and learn! Man, it sucks to lose one ! :Mine are all active the most at night. They have a blast in there!
Oh, and
