HCA: Hermit Crab Association

when is a crab too old for a toy? that might sound like a funny question but,my oldest and largest crab flower seems still enjoy his favorite hide out the skull cave. despite the fact that he has grown much too large for the doorway,flower will try to get in the cave repetedly backing up and running into the doorway mindlessly,like a bumper car to fit in that darn cave.flower has many other fine heated or cool places to hide but he is still relentlessly attempts to fit himself in the crab cave untill i find him stuck and trapped in the cave because of his spiked conch shell it also doesn't help that the others fallow and cluster the entry way like a mad line at burger king .should i remove the cave? Iv seen him get stuck in ther for days.id hate to do that but I was wondering if I shoul get somthing that bolth may large and small crabs can fit in......

Hermit crabs have personalities of their own

Maybe you should get something larger for all crabs to fit in, it wouldn't be good if he got stuck, especially if you had smaller crabs already inside!

Maybe you could try to find the same hideout but in a larger size.
