Weird bouncing motion?

So I was feeding one of my hermit crabs (Herman) some honey off of a Q-Tip and he did this weird bouncing motion in and out of his shell, kind of like he was rocking back and forth in and out of his shell. What was he doing? What does it mean?

Yes, all 3 of her crabbies are Es.

Oh, thank you. I don't have a very good memory to begin with so trying to keep track of who has what isn't easy.
Edit: and now I looked at her profile and see it's right there in her signature.
I wish Tapatalk showed signatures at the bottom of every post like the site!
