My one crab has recently came up from molting. and is digging holes every where. mostly in same spots I keep filling them in lol. Is there anything wrong with filling in the holes each day. Before I got the correct crabitat set up we had a big plastic house with store sold sand. I than read about everything and went out and got 10gallon glass aquarium and bought sand from hermit crab patch. That night I put the sand in 1 of my crabs when down for molt, next day other crab went down. So this is first one has been out in correct conditions. So just curious if there anything wrong with filling the holes in or if I should leave them. Also one crab is still down and I have no idea where at

Some crabs just like to dig more than others! Nothing wrong with smoothing the sand - mine looks like a minefield almost daily so I'm constantly trying to fix it.
If you have crabs under, though, be gentle with the smoothing and don't press too hard or you could potentially collapse a cave.

Thanks, yeah the one crab keeps digging big holes in same 2 spots and I keep filling them in. Main one is in the hut which isn't a big deal but when both crabs were up that's where they went and with the big hole not sure both would fit.. but thanks for advise so basically its just to keep me busy haha

All my recent molters dig like crazy. They didn't before molting. It's like, now that they visited underground, they want to live there!
