HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Hey Guys,

So I measured my house and during the day it's 80 degrees with 75% humidity upstairs, so I've been taking my crabs up there every couple days so that they can get used to me. Also not that my crabs are still extremely scared of me, I just walk past the tank and they instantly climb into their shells. Normally during the day only one of them is active, but today it was a surprise to me that both of them were. I stick my hand in to grab Fritz and as soon as Sparkle saw that Fritz was being taken out, Sparkle runs over and climbs on the back of my hand as if she wasn't scared of me at all. I found this extremely cute how Sparkle would rather face her fears and go with Fritz than be in the tank alone. Have any of your crabs done something similar?

Aww, how cute. My crabs haven't done anything like that because they haven't had their first molt with me yet, so I don't want to hold them yet. But My two crabs above ground are inseparable and would probably do something like that

I have one crab that literally climbed on my hand at the pet store. I wasn't going to take any home (I was looking for a smallish pp) and he decided he was going with me.

I went to the pet store to pick up my crabs and I decided which ones I wanted by how they climbed
If you put them in your hand and let them climb up your hands you can tell if they're enjoying it or if they're scared by you
the two crabs that I had seemed to enjoy climbing on me and that's why I took them home
