HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Tiger is my newest crab who has been under ground for practically a month. He came up briefly, explored a bit only to dash backwards in fear of Hermy. He bolted so fast he submerged himself completely in the fresh water dish.after that he went Into the other hide and hurried himself Again. Is this normal?

Yes, some crab just really need that destress time. If you spot some crabs once a month you are doing good. They may be out and about more but just go right back under
