Crab submerged ALL DAY

Post by YYWW » Mon Jan 26, 2015 12:03 am

I have this tiny E that has been in the SW all day and it is driving me CRAZY! He is just walking around, climbing the corners of the pool, and won't come out. I even did a water change with him in it because the pool hasn't cycled yet. I have a braided fluffy bridge for him to get in and out, so i dont know what his deal is. I want to grab him but he seems to be having so much fun. He's been under for at least 12 hours!

I'm sure he's fine. They do stuff to scare us all the time.

Why thank you! I am definitely a newly converted "giant pool" believer. Highly recommending them!

LOL i see it. And i like it. Image
He did come up! He was on his back, right next to the SW pool, doing this spazzy, "dead bug", twitchy legs in the air. It was all so odd. I picked him up and checked that he was ok, he seemed fine, so i put him face down at the spot where i found them. 2 minutes later he was at the bottom of the FW pool, on the other end of the tat! Image since he survived 12+ hours under i wasn't so concerned this time.

Bahah silly crabby... He is adorable tho! Once everyone is up from their molts I am adding a pool (: But i have 4 out of 5 down right now. So boring! Can you post a pic of your whole pool on this thread? Did you use Tupperware containers?

Crab submerged ALL DAY

I used 2.5 gallon aquariums, because there are filters on them. I wanted cycled pools, and i read somewhere the pools need to be biiiig in order to cycle.
Here's a link to my tat: viewtopic.php?t=102320

They climb down and walk around, and try to climb the walls/corners. I'm going to put some stand up aquarium plants in each tank so they have stuff to cling to. Or i might braid more of those braid bridges and just shove a couple more in there.
I wish they would swim. It'd be like a crab ballet!
