HCA: Hermit Crab Association

So I think Loki died. He smells slightly fishy and hasn't moved whatsoever since the second day and when I put Houdini (the crab I just got today) he immediately went to Loki. Is Loki dead? If so, what do I do? It makes me sad that he might have died. . .

If he smells fishy and is limp to the point of falling out of his shell, it does sound like he died. I'm very sorry I'm guessing you haven't had him long? If so, it was probably PPS.

I have had him since the 12th. The other one had died too. I have Houdini (who is very active and surprised me.) by complete accident. The only shells at the store that wasn't in the habitat were painted so I asked a girl to grab me one from the habitat. She did and when I got home I realized she had grabbed a hermit crab instead. An active one at that. He runs all over the tank. Is that normal?? I think they had just got a shipment in today.
