Hey!
2 weeks ago I set up a brand new crab tank and a smaller ISO tank. I did the redesign because I had a problem with my one crab eating the other one but was unsure if she killed it also, she also charged my other small crab. After this I redid my whole tank idea, the humidity and substrate is all set, perfect climbing stuff and my other three are digging tunnels like crazy. She is pretty happy in her iso tank, digging caves and hiding in the moss. I was just wondering when/if it would be safe to reintroduce her to my other three.
If it is should I give them all distilled water baths first and watch them antenna wave before putting her in the tank? We sorta may need her iso tank for a brown anole that my father caught in the greenhouse where he works (if it went outside it would have died come winter), it's not a rush as the little girl is living in our tree frog tank at the moment but we would feel better setting up her own tank.
How soon should I reintroduce?
How soon should I reintroduce?
I've had crabs for years, and this site inspired me to change things for the little guys and make their home amazing <3

Re: How soon should I reintroduce?
It seems to me I read somewhere that sometimes bullies can calm down some after a molt? Maybe one of the more expert crabbers can offer an opinion on that? Also, sometimes they can get violent with each other if there aren't enough suitable shells. The minimum recommended is 3-4 per crab, but most folks like to offer way more than that.
