Tan is a normal color for most species of hermit crabs. Your hermit crab is a purple pincher, I would guess your others are too.
Digging is normal behavior for hermit crabs. Don't worry about them, they're pretty good at taking care of themselves.
A crab staying on the surface isn't something to worry about. She may not need to molt or de-stress, she's just hanging around :)
A few things I notice from your template.
1- Your water dishes are very shallow. Your crabbies should be able to fully submerge themselves in the water. Tupperware containers are cheap and work very well for dishes!2- Pellet food isn't safe for hermit crabs. It doesn't have the proper nutrition for a hermit crab to live off of. It's also got bad ingredients that aren't safe for hermit crabs. Here's the safe food list that offer better foods to feed http://hermitcrabassociation.com/phpBB/ ... 25&t=92557
I hope this helped you, good luck :)

Hi, I wanted to link you to a response on another thread that goes over each question in a little more detail. Am not able to type it all out again right now but the same care applies for everyone's crabs (pretty much unless you have exotics, which one shouldn't have unless they are experienced crabbers, IMO), so you can take the info here and apply to your tat as well.

You don't have to buy things at pet stores! Really, a lot of people find tons of stuff from almost anywhere else. Like mentioned above, tupperware containers make better water pools than most of what you'd find sold as such in a pet store. For decorating, you can get cheaper fake plants from craft stores, dollar stores, and Ebay. You can also find other things for decorating such as stones, shells, etc. You can get cholla wood on Ebay and Etsy. The main things you want to be careful of when buying from craft and dollar stores are anything that may have been dyed or sprayed with pesticides - so be careful of wood and moss sold in craft stores. You can also consult the safe foods list and this list - http://epicurean-hermit.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=9 and you can get branches & sticks from outside, as long as you're collecting from a legal area where you're sure there haven't been pesticides/herbicides used.
