I don't know!
Yesterday I made a moss pit. I used a slim shower caddy and some hemp netting. Nobody's went in it and it seems their almost scared of it. I put 2 of my crabs in it separately and they know how to climb out but other than being forced to go in it they don't touch it! Anybody know why?

It really is best not to handle your crabs. It takes them some time to adjust to changes in their environment, but they figure it out. They view us as predators and are best left as a hands off pet.

Thanks so much! Do you think they'll like it though? And I only handle them so much. I just wanted them to know it was there

Re: I don't know!
It took my crabs several days to explore all the stuff in their new tank and each one wandered around at their own rate. Or they could have partied it up the first night while I was sleeping

Yep. It just takes them time to explore new things. When I moved some of my PPs to another tank (some I've had for years, others were new adoptions at the time), it took them quite a while to start being as active as they normally are. I swear that tank almost seemed like a ghost town for months! Try not to worry. Keep conditions right and they will come around and start exploring.
